Lavender Blossom Floap | Floating Whipped Soap | Goat Milk, Tallow & Honey

$7.00

What is “Floap,” you ask?  Floap is a type of whipped soap that floats.  Tallow is a nice whipping fat.  We have had an abundance of guests on our farm and at markets recently that have specifically requested goat milk and tallow soap.  I, personally, dislike fads.  Everyone and their dog has tallow or goat milk soap now.  Let’s just say, if I were to make something with goat milk and tallow,  I don’t want to throw out the same lavender goat milk soap, the same lavender tallow soap, the same lavender goat milk tallow soap that everyone else has available.  You get it, I strive to be different & create the highest quality soap using the highest quality ingredients.  So here we are: Lavender Blossom, Goat Milk, Tallow and Honey (from our bees, of course) Floap.  Fun, different, unique. Just my style.

Description

Imagine walking in an organic lavender farm with the finest therapeutic and culinary Lavandula angustifolia (English Lavender) grown from seed. We grow from seed to ensure that no herbicide, pesticide or fertilizer has ever touched any of our lavender plants.

During lavender blossom season our farm, Twin Flame Lavender Farm, infuses gallons and gallons of our soap oil with fresh Michigan grown English Lavender (not inferior Lavandin) blossoms to capture the essence of our lavender fields and scent our products naturally. We then saponify those oils with our farm grown and distilled English Lavender hydrosol. All of this creates our light and natural, scented to perfection, Lavender Blossom “Floap”.

What is “Floap,” you ask?  Floap is a type of whipped bar soap that floats.  Tallow is a nice whipping fat.  We have had an abundance of guests on our farm and at markets recently that have specifically requested goat milk and tallow soap.  I, personally, dislike fads.  Our decade old soap recipe is vegan.

Our farm crafted Floap recipe with grass fed tallow, grass fed goat milk and honey is whipped up to perfection and produces a magnificent and luxurious creamy and bubbly lather.  This floap makes a perfect “head to toe” and “shave” bar. Rinses clean without drying your skin and no sticky, greasy or oily feel.

Mindfully Sourced & Curated Ingredients: Goat Milk, Lavender Hydrosol (Scent,) Coconut Oil (Bubbles,) Grass Fed Beef Tallow (Whipped Goodness for Floating,) Shea Butter (Creamy Texture,) RSPO Palm Oil (Lather Stabilizer,)  Sodium Hydroxide (Required for Saponification, No Trace After Cure,) Lavender Infused Apricot Kernal Oil (Combats and Balances Typical Bar Soap Dryness Left on Your Skin Resulting from Saponified Coconut Oil,) Lavender Infused Avocado Oil (Creates a Nice “Slip,”)  Castor Oil (Bubbles,) Sodium Lactate (Produces a Harder Bar + Bubbles,) Honey from our Farm Bees (MORE Bubbles, can you have ENOUGH bubbles in FLOAP? Congratulations if you made it reading this far!) Vegetable-Based Stearic Acid (MORE Whipped Goodness for Floating,) Vegetable-Based Glycerin (Humectant,) Cosmetic Grade Mica for Color.

Contrary to popular belief:  soap does not “nourish,” “moisturize,” “replenish,” or cure skin diseases.  Soap is a wash off product and any benefits from oils, milk, honey, essential oils, any other additives are “zapped” away during the extremely harsh saponification process.  Bar soap may strip your skin’s natural oils and leave you with dry skin if the wrong ingredients are used resulting in skin that feels “tight,” “itchy,” or even flakey.  Bar soap may leave you feeling “moisturized” when your skin’s oils are not stripped away.  A well balanced soap will not strip your skin’s oils and dry out your skin. We use Apricot Kernal Oil in our decade-old soap recipe to balance and combat the typical dryness that saponified Coconut Oil’s (natural skin oil stripping properties) leaves behind.  Our soap does what it is supposed to do: simply clean your body without stripping natural oils away.

We used the “cold process” soaping method and whipped with 5% superfat and cure for a minimum of 3 months resulting in a hard, long lasting bar.  Soap is like fine wine, the longer it ages, or cures, the better the bar!

Please note, these floaps are handmade in small 84 ounce batches. There may be slight variances in size, color and maybe a tiny bubble in the molds. Your floap bar will weigh between 4.5-5 ounces.
