We have re-imagined our sage soap bar and incorporated our farm grown and distilled sage hydrosol with the “ancient” gentle “Aleppo Soap” recipe.

Ancient Aleppo soap, a timeless treasure that originated in Aleppo, Syria, dates back to the 8th century AD and embodies centuries of tradition and craftsmanship. Aleppo soap is traditionally made with high-quality ingredients such as olive oil, laurel fruit oil, seawater, and lye. Aleppo soap is gentle on the skin and “nut-free,” making it ideal for various skin types.

Since we do not have access to sea water, we have added a touch of honey, castor oil and sodium lactate to replicate the “bubbles” that seawater would make in soap.

Olive oil, Laurel Fruit Oil and the Sage Hydrosol combined creates a unique scent.

The “Big Bar” style you will receive will weigh between 4-5 ounces.

These are small batches of farm crafted cold process bars of soap made with tried and true recipes. There will be slight variances in shapes. There may also be a touch of aesthetics such as soda ash, bubbles and stearic spots. All lends to the unique and rustic nature of your individual bar of soap!
