🐝During lavender blossom season our farm, Twin Flame Lavender Farm, infuses gallons and gallons of our soap oil with fresh Michigan grown English Lavender blossoms to capture the essence of our lavender fields and scent our products naturally. We then saponify those oils with our farm distilled English Lavender hydrosol. All of this creates our light and natural scent in this Honey Lavender Blossom Soap. We only use this natural scent, not strong synthetic fragrances.

🐝A little twist to the OG lavender blossom soap:
Now that we have bee hives, we have decided to add a “bee line” of soap with honey produced and harvested on our farm!  Sugar in honey adds magnificent bubble action to farm crafted bar soap.  Rather than anchoring hydrosol scent and coloring with clay, as we do with our traditional soap, we use turmeric to create a magnificent honey colored soap.  The honey also anchors the hydrosol scent just slightly different than the original soap.  It actually amplifies the scent making it smell like a perfume, while keeping the soap all natural! The Big Bee Soap and Bitty Bee Soap bars are topped with “real soap” (not sugar, plastic or wood) purple bee cold process soap embeds! It is not easy to make cold process soap embeds, they are made with a ton of love.

🐝This soap recipe has taken years to perfect and produces a magnificent and luxurious creamy and bubbly lather. This, combined with skin loving & gentle vegetable based oils, makes our Honey Lavender Blossom Soap a perfect “head to toe” and “shave” bar. Rinses clean without drying your skin and no sticky, greasy or oily feel.

🐝Contrary to popular belief:  soap does not “nourish,” “moisturize,” “replenish,” or cure skin diseases.  Soap is a wash off product and any benefits from oils, milk, honey, essential oils, any other additives are “zapped” away during the extremely harsh saponification process.  Bar soap may strip your skin’s natural oils and leave you with dry skin if the wrong ingredients are used resulting in skin that feels “tight,” “itchy,” or even flakey.  Bar soap may leave you feeling “moisturized” when your skin’s oils are not stripped away.  A well balanced soap will not strip your skin’s oils and dry out your skin. We use Apricot Kernal Oil in our decade-old soap recipe to balance and combat the typical dryness that saponified Coconut Oil’s (natural skin oil stripping properties) leaves behind.  Our soap does what it is supposed to do: simply clean your body without stripping natural oils away.

🐝We soap “hot” to gel the soap (locks in color) with a 5% superfat and cure for 3+ months resulting in a hard, long lasting bar.

🐝Please note, these soaps are handmade in small 60 ounce batches. There may be slight variances in size, color and maybe a tiny bubble in the molds.  Since our soaps are handmade (no bases or wholesale purchases,) there may be natural soda ash or stearic spots.  These issues come from the saponification process are only appearance issues which makes the soap look “rustic” and the soaps are completely safe to use!
