Rustic Hot Process Soap | Luxury Superfat

Description

We have a new permanent “rustic” line of gentle hot process soap which features luxury superfat oils and colorants.

Fun facts about hot process soap:
 I started making soap in my garage in Las Vegas in 2015 using the hot process method
 It saponifies in the crock pot so you don’t have to wait days for saponification. It also cures faster than cold process soap.
 Hot process soap is more mild than cold process which makes it a better “head to toe” bar than cold process.
 You can control the superfat (unsaponified oil) in hot process by adding it “after the cook.” This allows you to reap the benefits of luxury oils, honey and goat milk in soap. With cold process, the lye determines what the superfat will be in the end. Cold process also turns honey into sugar and the lactic acid in goat milk to sodium lactate, sugar and miniscule amounts of superfat.

It is fun to go back to my roots and take control of the outcome with the new “rustic bars.”

Basic Ingredients and Saponified Properties:  Beef Tallow (creamy,) Farm Distilled Hydrosol (for scent,) Goat Milk (bubbly,) Sodium Hydroxide (required for saponification, no trace after saponification,) Coconut Oil (bubbly,) Luxury Superfat (added after saponification,) Apricot Kernal Oil (balances dryness of saponified coconut oil,) Hemp Oil (bubbly,) Natural Colorant, Honey from our Bees (more bubbles!)

• Our Farm Grown & Distilled Mint Hydrosol & Rosemary Essential Oil for Scent
• Spirulina Fresh Water Seaweed for Green Colorant

Rose Geranium Rustic Bar:

• Rosehip Oil Luxury Superfat After Cook
• Our Farm Grown & Distilled Rose Geranium Hydrosol for Scent
• Beet Root Powder & Rose Clay for Dusty Rose Colorant

Tea Tree & Lavender Rustic Bar:

• Black Seed Oil Luxury Superfat After Cook
• Our Farm Grown & Distilled Lavender Hydrosol & Tea Tree Essential Oil for Scent
• Activated Charcoal for Black Colorant

Frankincense & Lavender Rustic Bar:

• Jojoba Wax Luxury Superfat after Cook
• Our Farm Grown & Distilled Lavender Hydrosol & Frankincense Essential Oil for Scent
• Cacao for Brown Colorant

All of our bars in our rustic collection are farm formulated with:
Our farm grown and distilled Botanical hydrosol for scent

Honey from our farm bees.
Goat milk.
60% tallow. The highest amount of tallow you should expect for a well balanced luxurious creamy and bubbly bar.
Luxury oil superfat added “after the cook” to retain each luxury oil’s benefits.

You do NOT pay for water when you buy our soap:  all Rustic Collection bars weigh between 4-5 ounces after a minimum 3 month cure!  Curing not only reduces water retention in soap, it also creates a harder bar with a superior crystalline structure.  Your bar will be milder and last longer with a long cure.
