Color of Lavender Infused Vinegar.
The color is naturally magenta. The acid in vinegar extracts the colors in lavender to produce the magenta color.
Ingredients
- 1 Gallon Vinegar
- 1 Cup Culinary Lavender Buds
Instructions
- Remove 2 cups of vinegar from gallon of vinegar to make room for buds.
- Using funnel, add lavender buds to gallon of vinegar.
- Shake well and store for 1-3 weeks.
- After 1-3 weeks, strain your lavender vinegar through a fine mesh sieve.
- Clean out the plastic jug and place your strained lavender infused vinegar back into your jug.
- Store in a dry, cool place and use in 6-12 months.
Notes
Plastic gallon jugs are best to infuse vinegar. Do not use mason jars to infuse or store your lavender vinegar! The acid in vinegar will turn your lids and rings to rust!
