Artisan Distilled Lavender Hydrosol

Lavender aromatherapy has been known for its soothing and calming effects on the mind and body. It is generally considered safe for all ages. It is also deemed safe for our furry canine companions. However, it is always advisable to consult a medical practitioner or a veterinarian before using any aromatherapy, especially if you have underlying health conditions or are pregnant.

When using lavender for aromatherapy, it’s essential to be cautious because not all lavender products are created equal. Lavandin, a hybrid mix of true lavender and camphorous spike lavender, has different constituents and does not offer the same benefits as pure lavender oil or hydrosol. In fact, Lavandin is not recommended for babies, children, pregnant or nursing individuals, epileptics and other types of underlying medical disorders. The high camphor content in Lavandin may be outright fatal for our canine companions.

When choosing between lavender hydrosol and essential oil for aromatherapy, consider the benefits each offers. Hydrosols are gentler and can be used directly on the skin or in mists, while essential oils are more concentrated and typically require proper dilution before use. We will teach you how to choose the option that best suits your needs and preferences for a truly relaxing aromatherapy experience. We also have articles that teach the difference in distillation techniques to achieve the best results for essential oil or hydrosol.

We are here to guide you through the journey of lavender aromatherapy with our compilation of articles and hope you enjoy learning about the calming world of lavender!
